Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about playing 13-card Indian Rummy with friends on RummyDen.
Is RummyDen free?
Yes, completely. RummyDen is a free social card game — no signup, no payment, no downloads. RummyDen Plus ($4.99/mo) is optional and only removes ads + adds cosmetic themes; the core gameplay is and will stay free.
Can I play 13-card Indian Rummy with friends from India and the USA at the same time?
Yes — that's exactly what RummyDen was built for. Create a private room, share the 6-character code via WhatsApp, and friends join from anywhere on any device. There are no regional restrictions; the same table works across time zones.
Do I need to download an app?
No. RummyDen runs in any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge — on phone, tablet, or desktop. Just open the link. You can optionally install it as a PWA for an app-like icon, but it's not required.
Is RummyDen a real-money rummy site?
No. RummyDen is a social card game for friends and family. There is no real money involved. The chips on the table are score tokens only — no deposits, no withdrawals, no payment processor. We are not a gambling product and do not compete with real-money platforms.
Is RummyDen legal in my Indian state?
Because RummyDen is social-only with no real money, no gambling laws apply. You can play in any Indian state — including states where real-money rummy is restricted (Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Assam, Odisha, Sikkim, Nagaland). The product is also legal internationally.
How many players can join one private room?
2 to 6 players per room. The deck size auto-adjusts (1 deck for 2-3 players, 2 decks for 4-6 players). Beyond 6, host a second room — rummy is best at 6 or under.
Can I play as a guest?
Yes. Guest mode is the default. Type your display name, sit at a seat, and you're in. You can optionally sign in with Google for a persistent profile and game history, but it's never required.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. RummyDen is mobile-first and the layout is optimized for landscape on phones — drag-and-drop cards, tap-to-draw, tap-to-discard. Polished interactions match what you'd expect from a native app.
What happens if my friend's phone dies mid-game?
The game pauses for them, not you. Their seat is held; when they come back online (or reload the room URL within ~6 hours), they pick up exactly where they left off — same hand, same turn, same score. The host can set "auto-skip" if a player is disconnected for too long.
Can I play Indian Rummy variants other than Points?
Yes — Points Rummy is the default but you can also start a room in Pool 101, Pool 201, or Deals (best-of-N) mode. The host picks the mode when creating the room.
How do I share a room invite?
On the room page, tap the room code at the top-left to copy the full invite link. Paste it into your WhatsApp group, family chat, or anywhere else. Anyone with the link can join.
Is RummyDen affiliated with any real-money rummy company?
No. We are a fully independent product. We don't accept ads from real-money rummy sites, don't partner with them, and don't share user data with any third party.
How do I cancel RummyDen Plus?
Go to your account page and click "Manage subscription" — you'll be taken to Stripe's customer portal where you can cancel anytime. No clawbacks, no questions asked.
Can I play poker on RummyDen too?
Yes. RummyDen also has private-play Texas Hold'em for home games with friends. Create a poker table, share the link, and everyone gets play chips and a friendly chip ledger. It is play-chips only — there is no real money, no buy-in for cash, and no gambling.
Is RummyDen poker real-money gambling?
No. RummyDen poker is a social, private home game between friends using play chips that have no monetary value. There are no deposits, no cash-outs, and no wagering for money. It is a way to enjoy the game and keep a friendly chip score, nothing more.
How do I play poker with my friends?
Open the Poker section, create a private table, and choose your settings (blinds, seats, timer). Share the invite link on WhatsApp, everyone takes a seat with play chips, and the host deals. New to the game? See our guides on Texas Hold'em rules and poker hand rankings.
What is the difference between rummyden.com and privatefelt.com?
They are the same app on two web addresses. Both rummyden.com and privatefelt.com give you rummy and poker, the same account, and the same features. Use whichever link a friend shares with you.
Can I sign in with Google?
Yes. Google sign-in is optional and gives you a persistent profile, recent rooms, and game history across devices. You can still play as a guest with just a display name if you prefer.
Do you show ads?
The free tier may show ads to keep RummyDen free for everyone. Ads are clearly labelled and kept off the actual game tables. RummyDen Plus removes ads entirely.
Do you sell my personal data?
No. We do not sell your personal data. We use a small number of service providers (for sign-in, payments, hosting, analytics, and advertising on the free tier) as described in our Privacy Policy, and nothing more.
How do I report a bug or send feedback?
Use the feedback form — you can reach it from your account page under "Help & feedback". Pick the game, tell us what happened, optionally attach a screenshot, and it goes straight to the team.
